Kitchen Duty

Wanna know what I did all day today? ...I was in the kitchen (surprise, surprise...lol!) But here is the fruit of my labor.

Oh my ... dinner was good tonight. I cut up the last two heads of that broccoli and could have eaten it all myself. The entire family begged for seconds, but there was enough for everyone to have one serving. We all enjoyed it! I steamed it for about 6-7 minutes. Then I put it in the frying pan, and sauteed it with olive oil and fresh chopped garlic. Seasoned with salt and pepper...Oh yummm! Of course the lasagna was what took up most of my day. I made the sauce, made the ricotta. I peeled and pureed fresh tomatoes for the sauce. It was SO yummy! So next time I make this, who wants me to invite them? :D Well just so you know, you are all welcome, but it would be one mighty expensive meal!! :)

I also wanted to quick mention that if you are a digiscrapper or slightly interested in it, I posted a freebie on my digi blog. You can click the link in the sidebar to head there.

  1. That looks absolutely delicious! My lasanga seems so ordinary now lol If I win the lottery I'll come over the next time you make it! Yummy way to make the broccoli too - I'm going to have to try that sometime.

  3. We are the Mahoney family and have been praying for you for over a year. As much as possible, we sit at the breakfast table and catch up on your blog. In case you need encouragement, we want to give you a HUGE thank you. We know it takes alot of work, but it is extremely meaningful to those praying for you and allows my kids (Kevin-5 and Drew-3) to see you guys as real people serving the Lord faithfully.
Kevin has an idea for your newest family member: Snow White.
    Thank you again.
